Last updated: 30 August 2026

This policy explains what personal data DoodleByte Design Studio collects when you visit this website or engage the studio, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We collect as little as possible, and we do not sell it.

1. Who we are

2. What we collect

This site has no login, no newsletter and no tracking cookies. There are only three ways your data reaches us:

  • What you send us. When you email or message us on WhatsApp, we receive whatever you choose to include - typically your name, contact details, and a description of your project.
  • Anonymous usage statistics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookie-free and does not build a profile of you or follow you across other websites. We see aggregate counts, not individuals.
  • Standard server logs. Our hosting provider records technical request data, including IP address and browser type, for security and reliability. This is normal infrastructure logging, retained briefly and not used to identify visitors.

Fonts used on this site are served from our own servers, so viewing a page does not send a request to any third-party font provider.

3. Why we use it

We process personal data only for the purpose it was given to us:

  • To reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible project.
  • To prepare quotes and proposals, and to deliver work you have engaged us for.
  • To raise invoices and keep the accounting and tax records the law requires us to keep.
  • To keep this website secure, available and working correctly.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it.

4. Payments

Where a payment is taken online, it is processed by a third-party payment gateway. Card numbers, UPI credentials, net-banking logins and similar payment credentials are entered directly with that gateway. We never see, handle or store them on our own systems.

We do keep the records of a transaction that accounting and tax law require - such as the invoice, amount, date and payment reference - for the retention period set out below.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, and only as far as they need it: our website host, our analytics provider, our email provider, the payment gateway, and our accountants. Each is bound to use the data solely to provide their service to us.

We may also disclose data where we are legally required to - for example in response to a valid order from a court or authority.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 24 months. Project correspondence and deliverables are kept for the life of the engagement and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can support what we built. Financial records are kept for eight years, as Indian tax law requires. You can ask us to delete anything we are not legally obliged to retain.

7. How we protect it

This site is served over HTTPS. Access to client material is limited to the people working on the engagement, and accounts are protected with strong, unique credentials and multi-factor authentication where the provider supports it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these obligations seriously and will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.

8. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

  • Confirm what personal data of yours we hold, and get a copy of it.
  • Correct anything inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
  • Erase data we no longer need and are not required by law to keep.
  • Withdraw consent you previously gave, at any time.
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to.

Write to doodlebyte.studio@gmail.com and we will respond within 1 business day. We may need to verify who you are before acting on a request.

9. Grievance redressal

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, contact our grievance officer at doodlebyte.studio@gmail.com. We aim to acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within 30 days. If you remain unsatisfied, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Children

Our services are aimed at businesses, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the page and move the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be communicated directly to active clients.
